| Welcome Back Lynnewood Lions! We are so glad to welcome you all back to a new school year together! It has been a busy summer at Lynnewood. Thanks to your generosity, the PTO sponsored sunshades were installed on the playground over the summer and are ready to be enjoyed by everyone. The PTO donated disinfecting wipes and tissues to each classroom, taking these items off your back to school lists! Finally, the PTO held a Welcome Back Breakfast for all of our teachers and staff on their first day back in the building. Special thanks to Manhattan Bagel in Manoa Shopping Center for donating all of the delicious bagels, cream cheese and coffee! Our teachers were so grateful for the caffeine boost on their way to their classrooms! We truly appreciate Manhattan Bagel for being such a generous community partner. We have a lot of fun programs and events coming up this year and are so excited to share them with you, including our first Mum Sale, BTSN The After Party, the Family Picnic & Movie Night (Zootopia 2!), and Rita’s Scoops night! Don't forget to update your family information in Membership Toolkit and pay your PTO Dues. Your dues go towards making all of these wonderful things possible, and we can't do it without you. We hope to see you at one of these great PTO events this month! — Andrea Devenney & Megan Wilson, PTO Co-Presidents | president@lynnewoodpto.org |

| Community Service - September's Project: Make-A-Lunch Supplies, Thank You for Lost-and-Found Donations Join us for September's community service project to stock the Make-A-Lunch pantry to start the school year. At Lynnewood's Make-A-Lunch program, every student has the opportunity to pack a lunch for people in Delaware County who are experiencing food insecurity and/or homelessness. We are looking to collect lunch items. The most needed items currently are Granola Bars and Capri Suns. View the Make-A-Lunch Donation Wishlist Flyer. We will be collecting goods in the main lobby in a big box marked with our flyer from Sept 1st-Sept 30th. Students can drop off donations on their way into school. Also, all items left in the lost and found after school ended were donated. The donations went to a couple of different organizations right here in Delaware County, helping those in need. They were very grateful. — Community Service Committee, c/o Jenn Froelich, Nicole Cicchino & Kim Granato | CommunityService@Lynnewoodpto.org |

| Art in the Classroom (AITC) Hello, Lynnewood Caregivers! Are you looking for opportunities to interact with your lion(s) and their classmates inside the classroom? You might be interested in Art in the Classroom (AITC). Art in the Classroom is a 30-minute block of time, to teach the class about a different famous artist each month. The goal is to provide them with some general information or interesting facts about the artist for the first 5-10 minutes and then have an art project or craft for them to work on for the rest of the time that is inspired by the artist. You must have your clearances in with the school to participate. This can be something that you do monthly, just once, or whatever frequency works for your interest level and schedule. No experience is necessary. Sign Up for Art in the Classroom Please email artintheclassroom@lynnewoodpto.org with interest or questions. Thanks!
