VOLUNTEER 2024 Lynnewood Book Fair

COME HELP AT THE BOOK FAIR!!

The book fair is such a fun event that the children look forward to every year.  They come to the library during their regular library period, and inside there is a bookstore set up so they can browse and purchase books.

All children will receive a FREE book courtesy of the PTO.

The books are selected and provided by locally owned Children's Book World in Haverford, PA.

Proceeds from the book fair go towards supporting teacher purchases!  Each year the PTO gives teachers funds they use on supplies to improve their lessons and provide resources for your students!

There are four ways you can volunteer -

• Set-Up and Clean-Up - we need many hands to help set up the tables, display the books, and take down and repackage everything at the end.  This is done after school hours.  Your children can come and just sit off to the side while you help.
• In-Class support - we need 5 volunteers to come to each class period to help children select books, figure out money, and purchase.  You do NOT have to come to your own child's class - you can come to any class that fits your schedule!
• Family Night - we need 5 volunteers per hour to help run Family Night!  It is a great night to come out, visit with school friends, and check out the book fair!
• Book Transport - occasionally throughout the week we may need someone to drive to Children's Book World (in Haverford) and pick up shipments of books and then bring them back to Lynnewood.  If you sign up for this our Book Fair Coordinator will reach out to you before the fair begins to get an idea of your availability.
