VOLUNTEER MLK Day of Service 2026

There are lots of volunteer options for this event:

Premade food - DROP OFF AT 9:30 am at Lynnewood on 1/19

Please make an entire pan of multiple servings of the same food in advance of the event. 

This food should be thoroughly cooked and then cooled completely before dropping off at Lynnewood on 1/19.  Please follow all safe-cooking practices when preparing the food - wash hands, be sure all meat is cooked to safe temperature (see link for chart), tie back hair, etc.

If you do not use a disposable dish, please be sure your container is clearly marked with your name and cell phone number so we can get it back to you.


Chicken dish

In Person Help

Hands are needed on the day of the event to help everything run smoothly!  Please sign up to help set up or clean up!

 

Planning to come help assemble the meals?  No need to sign up at all - just show up from 10:00 - 11:30 am.


Set Up at 9:30
Please arrive at the Lynnewood Cafeteria at 9:30 to help set the room up for the event. You are welcome to bring children but please don't include them when signing up so we have an accurate count of adults who will be helping.

Please arrive at the Lynnewood Cafeteria at 11:30 to help clean the room up from the event. You are welcome to bring children but please don't include them when signing up so we have an accurate count of adults who will be helping.

Drive at 11:45
Please drive to the back of Lynnewood - near the dumpsters and playground - you will help load the meals into cars and drive them to the dropoff location about 5 minutes away where you will unload. You are welcome to bring children but please don't include them when signing up so we have an accurate count of adults who will be helping.

Donate craft supplies so that children can pack craft kits for children at CHOP.
